Can understand why some may say it's time consuming creating complex songs but having used FL studio 11 and Cakewalk (another cheap audio producer, I use for midi control) this is a lot easier to pick up, very simple layout which is great for beginners (which I am) - if you have used a hardware step sequencer like a Volca Sample you'll understand this software even faster. Personally I wouldn't want to use this independantly to create a song when I've got cakewalk but for creating samples or small 8bit tunes it's great - I take the exported components into an audio editor (NCH wavepad - dont get it, it's full of adware, the FL studio 11 demo is cleaner) to fix audio levels and add more effects (reverb mainly). Might purchase the perc and vocal pack later but for the price even off sale it's a great bit of softie. wow I paid 18€ for this ♥♥♥♥king ♥♥♥♥♥? I could make a better song in less than 10 sec with FL Studio.. Rytmik Ultimate is okay, but it's not very impressive on a computer. You can't upload sounds. I suggest you get Rytmik Ultimate on a 3DS, or, better, get Rytmik Studio (store.steampowered.com/app/657280/Rytmik_Studio/) which is also availiable on a Switch. Rytmik Studio is everything that Rytmik Ultimate is not - and there are a lot of things that Rytmik Ultimate is not.It's good for beginners but it doesn't provide the tools neccessary for very professional music creation.. I cant recommend this music maker to beginner. Here is why:- Not that user friendly even the interface looks simple.- No key bindings like copy paste.- Not much variety of sound banks.- UI doesnt represent the standarts of a music maker and its not good organised.. I want to like this software, but the interface is clumsy and not beginner friendly. For example, why can't I give relevant names to my clips instead of using 1, 2, 3, ..., A, B, C. Why can't I have more than 4 tracks? Why can't the app go full screen without the black boxes? The interface is suprisingly dated, I feel it was made by someone who still lives in the 70s.The tutorial is lackluster, there are some videos on youtube by the developer, who apparently hired a sleepy bored guy to do the voice over, it is really annoying and painful to listen to.The only redeeming point is the low price.. great software in everyway, I just wish they would've made a version for Mac as well.. Rytmik Ultimate is a simple and fun way to make music mostly by "drag-and-drop". The UI is slightly overwhelming when you first look at it but after some exploration and experimentation, you'll find everything to be quite straight forward. There's a decent amount of people still uploading songs every day on the Rytmik Cloud, plus some of the in-game demos are pretty great.I played Rytmik a lot on my 3DS before finding out it was on Steam, and luckily for people like me who enjoy having it on the go, you can connect your accounts to have your songs on both platforms.I recommend finding a short Youtube tutorial on how to make a song for the first time and then do your own thing from there, but this is definitely a great game/program for people who are new to the music making scene as well as people who are experienced in it but enjoy a more simple and casual interface.. I used Fruityloops lightly for ages now, and Rytmik is compariable for it's price range easily; this is one robust little bastard of a music program; I booted it up and have had a blast so far putting things together.The samples included are great, and the wave slide thing is way easier to use here, I never actually figured it out in FL...Absolutely recomended for anyone who wants to screw around with music, if you know nothing or are a master composer; Rytmik is for you; it is a real hoot and I had my first basic song put together in 55 minutes according to Steam; Chugalug by Laerrus on the Cloud XD The Cloud is a great idea too; creating an easy to access community to upload to, and listen to the work of; we can all help one another this way!The 8 bit chip tune design is perfect too, very good video game sounds.I very much consider Rytmik as it's own unique instrument in my setup; it will be very useful in the future for me, not to mention entertaining.. I 100% reccomend this for people who want to make music for their games, or for fun. The clips that are pre-made help you get a general idea of the software and are easy to work with. Once you get the hang out that, you can build your own clips and little beat blocks as I like to call them. You can edit just about everything too. If you end up making a beat you do not like, you can change pitch, or add effects to each clip. I see a lot of people saying it is too simple, or not dynamic enough. I strongly disagree. You can make a great soundtrack using just clips you make yourself, or adding in a couple of their premade sounds to go with them. There are a lot of options. I would reccomend getting the rock expansion as you can make some very great beats with it. The power coords in it are wonderful. You have access to a lot of great drum loops as well, and the individual sound bytes that you can put together to build your own really great drum sounds, then put the blocks together to make epic drump solos of your own design. I highly reccomend this to developers. I have tried, used, and purchased many different programs to use for game sound tracks, and this one is by far the best. I am about 7 hours into playing with this software and it is 100% worth the price. The expansions are great as well.
